How It's Built:

The A-B Air Knife is a precision-machined, one-piece aluminum alloy body. Its internal air path is optimized for smooth, low-resistance flow. Key structural elements include:

 Circular air inlet (side or bottom entry, Φ51 / Φ60 / Φ63 / Φ76 options)

 Widened air plenum for pressure equalization

 Dual-layer internal splitter plates for uniform airflow distribution

 Tapered acceleration section to maximize exit velocity

 Precision-machined narrow slot outlet with adjustable edge gap (0.1–3.0 mm)

Technical Features

Adjustable Edge Gap: You can adjust the gap on-site. Use the screws on the knife edge. You do not need to take the knife apart. The gap goes from 0.1 mm to 3.0 mm. Set the gap to fit your job.

Dual Flow-Plate Design: There are two plates inside the knife. These plates stop messy air. They make the air move fast and smooth. The air curtain is the same across the whole knife length.

Heat-Stable Construction: The blade is wide and thick. It keeps its shape even when it is very hot. This is good for hot fiber lines and industrial spray lines.

Zero Internal Wear Parts: The inside of the knife is very smooth. There are no moving parts inside. This means the knife does not wear out. It saves money on repairs and stays running.

Attention / Usage Notes

1. Protect the Air Gap.  Keep incoming air clean. Install a basic filter (40 micron or finer) upstream of the air inlet to prevent particulate contamination. Large particles can scratch the internal duct surface or partially block the precision knife edge gap.

2. Avoid Collision with the Knife Edge.  The precision-machined knife edge is the most sensitive part of this unit. Avoid any mechanical contact during installation, maintenance, or transportation. Even minor deformation can affect airflow uniformity.

3. Verify Air Supply Conditions.  Ensure your air supply is within the rated pressure range. Use dry, clean air to prevent internal moisture build-up or contamination of the outlet gap.

4. Optimal Installation Distance.  For best drying results, position the air knife 5–20 mm from the target surface. The air slot centerline should be aimed directly at the area to be dried or processed.

5. Factory-Calibrated Edge Width.  Each unit is calibrated at our factory to the specified edge gap before shipment. If a different gap setting is required, contact our technical team — do not attempt to adjust the internal splitter plate geometry yourself.

6. Regular Cleaning.  Periodically inspect and clean the air inlet screen and the knife edge slot during routine machine maintenance. Dust or light oil accumulation can reduce airflow performance over time.
