Ring air knife, also known as air ring scrubber, is a device specially designed to provide continuous blowing, drying, or cooling for pipes, cables, various profiles and other products. According to the principle of the Coanda effect, by consuming a small amount of compressed air and draining 30 times the ambient air, a uniform 360-degree conical airflow ring is formed, which can quickly blow away dirt and debris on pipes, cables and other products passing through the ring. Water and other substances.

Compared with the system with annular drilled pipe and annular nozzle structure, the air consumption is lower and it is easier to install and maintain.

Precautions for Use

Avoid colliding with the blade edge. Ensure the medium used is free of excessively coarse impurity particles to prevent blockage or damage to the blade edge. Limitations & Comparison

1.It is not suitable for long-term high-temperature (>150°C) or strong corrosive environments; stainless steel or titanium alloy can be used as alternatives.

2.In high-humidity or acid-alkali gas environments, the anti-corrosion layer needs regular maintenance.

3.If extremely high-intensity impact airflow is required, titanium alloy or fan-pressurized structures can be considered.

Installation Instructions
It is recommended that the air outlet be 10–30mm away from the workpiece, ensuring that the air flow covers it evenly. Air can be supplied from one side, both ends, or the bottom.

Recommendations

If the operating environment involves high temperature, high humidity, or corrosive media, it is recommended to choose a stainless steel air knife; if the ultimate pressure resistance and structural strength are pursued, the titanium alloy series can be considered.

Notes:

If the ring air knife is used for water blowing applications, in order to achieve the ideal effect, the air inlet pressure is recommended to be 055MPa or above. The above figure shows the air consumption parameters when the air outlet gap is the standard 0.05mm under this air inlet pressure. As the intake pressure changes, the air consumption will also change accordingly.

The air outlet gap of the ring air knife is formed by stainless steel gaskets. The thickness of a single gasket is 0.05mm and the air outlet gap is 0.05mm. This can meet the vast majority of applications. For applications that require greater wind power, it can be installed Use gaskets to expand the gap, which can be up to 0.2mm. As the air outlet gap increases, the air consumption of the air knife will increase accordingly.
