"Industrial coating" of air knife

"Industrial coating" means paint for general industrial use, as opposed to painters, decorators, paint contractors, and DIY workers. In this book, some parts of the industry tend to separate automobiles, automotive repair paints, Marine paints and heavy corrosion paints, leaving the rest as "general industrial paints", the subject of this chapter. Therefore, general industrial coatings refer to all industrial coatings used in the factory finishing process except those mentioned above. They include a wide variety of paints and end uses, such as wire paints, transparent and tinted furniture paints, can paints, tractor paints, toy paints, paper paints, aircraft paints, household appliances paints, protection of parts under car bodies, plastic paints and so on. Industrial products may be as large as road graders or as small as dice. They are usually made of metal, but may often be made of wood, wood composites, paper, cards, cement products, glass or plastic. The metal can be any form of steel, with or without a protective surface, such as zinc or tin, or it can be aluminum, zinc, copper, or a variety of alloys. Each substrate and end use is a different coating problem that must be solved within the other constraints of commercial and factory processes. Therefore, there is no such thing as a typical general industrial paint or paint system. Most sub-classifications of general industrial paints are based on the industries in which they are used, such as drum paints for the steel and plastic drum industries. These categories are often used in paint use statistics.
