The inner and outer surfaces of the air knife lip are coated with a hard chrome layer of 0.025-0.05 mm. The hard chrome layer on the inner surface can reduce the frictional resistance of the airflow, and the hard chrome layer on the outer surface can increase the hardness of the surface, prevent collision deformation, and make the The surface is very smooth and smooth, not easy to stick slag, and reduce nodules on the air knife, so this hard chrome layer must be protected from damage. When repairing the air knife, you must use metallographic sandpaper to gently wipe off the zinc slag and zinc vapor inside and outside The crystallization makes the inside and outside of the air knife lip smooth and clean as new, so that it is not easy to stick slag during use.

If there is a small deformation on the lip of the air knife, you can use a whetstone for local grinding, and pay special attention not to use a whetstone to polish a large area, so as to minimize the damage to the hard chrome layer. If the air knife lip is refurbished, the hard chrome layer must be removed first, then ground to the original size, and hard chrome plated again. The air knife equipped with an air filter must be removed and cleaned at least every two or three months to prevent the filter from clogging and increasing resistance.
