Influence of outlet Angle of fan impeller on fan

The outlet Angle of impeller blade is the main factor affecting the formation of ash accumulation. The larger the outlet Angle of blade is, the less ash accumulation of fan blade is. Therefore, in the selection of fan, the geometric shape of fan blade should be considered.

The dust particles in boiler flue gas of thermal power plant are fine. The finer the dust particles are, the more uniform the dust particles are. And the natural Angle of repose of dust particles is also an important factor affecting ash accumulation. The smaller the natural Angle of repose, the less ash accumulation of fan blades.

When the flue gas temperature falls near or below the dew point temperature, the dust accumulation on the fan blade increases. The higher the dust concentration of flue gas is, the more dust accumulates on fan blades. The main reason is that the efficiency of dust collector decreases for some reason, and the ash accumulation of fan blade increases.

There is a direct relationship between the amount of dust accumulation of fan blade and the adhesion strength of solid matter in flue gas. There are many kinds of solid matter in flue gas, such as clay, alkali metal, sulfide, oxide, salt and so on. According to the analysis of leaf ash in the early stage, there are many components including clay, alkali metal and sulfide. It shows that the more clay, alkali metal and sulfide are contained in the flue gas, the faster the formation of sediment on the fan blade. Once ash is formed, the thickness of ash increases rapidly, so that any solid matter can be deposited on the blade.

Because the impeller ash has great randomness, and is not uniform on the surface of the impeller, it is very likely to lead to the imbalance of the impeller due to uneven ash accumulation, thus affecting the normal use of  fan.
